I have lived in Coventry almost all my life, and have seen this beautiful city grow and evolve over the years. During my time in Coventry, I have had the chance to explore various professional and community service sectors; from running my own business, to working with people suffering from mental health issues. My community interactions have allowed me to personally experience the strengths of our community, and get a deeper understanding of the concerns of the people.
The safety of our community is one of my top priorities. With the help of my educational background in the field of Crime and Deviance, and my experience of working to prevent extremism and violence, I hope to shed light on critical issues such as hate-crime, and work with the Police to ensure the safety of our community.
I believe in equal opportunities for all, and strongly support our local small & medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which can help create more jobs and ensure a sustainable future.
As a passionate resident and active volunteer, I want to preserve the innate values of peace and reconciliation, which Coventry is renowned for. As the ‘City of Culture’, Coventry’s rich diversity can be the driving force for the advancement of our community, and I believe that this can be achieved through community-driven solutions and community engagement programmes. I aim to help improve inter-cultural dialogue and bring people together to create a stronger and more prosperous community.
